As we kick off the holiday season, here are a few things I've been grateful for throughout this very unpredictable past year -

1. The enormous outpouring of love and support from family and friends around the world who've connected, reconnected, lent a hand (or hands, multiple times!), and who've brought and continue to bring so much joy, relief, and comfort into my life - thank you!

2. Warm blankets and a cat who likes to hang out on the sofa during naps with me - she also loves the blankets (and naps)!

3. An incredibly supportive employer and fantastic colleagues (both current and former!) working to make a positive impact in communities around the world.

4. Our smooth transition to California, living so close to family after so long, and the beauty of the SF Bay Area. What a gift!

5. My global yoga community of friends, mentors, teachers, and students inspiring me to look for and live with purpose.

6. The dedicated and incredible teams at UCSF, Duke, Virginia Hospital Center, and Virginia Cancer Specialists.

7. The anticipation of the vegan macaroni and cheese that I'm making for our family gathering hosted by my sister and brother-in-law this afternoon, and all the wonderful plant-based dishes that will be a part of the celebration.

My list goes on and on. What's at the top of yours?
